OST’s Fortress Secure Interface® is a cross-platform, rights-based, very-low-overhead, field-level, access control middleware that combines both dynamic data security (for data in the pipe) and static data security (for databases and caches). Their encryption is compliant with government-specification FIPS 140-2, and is probably tracking the next-gen FIPS-200 standard, as well.
Oceana Sensor Technologies’ solution was developed under an Advanced Technology Program through the National Institute of Standards titled “eManufacturing Framework to improve Semiconductor Manufacturing Productivity”. This innovative approach had a high degree of technical risk, as the proposed framework needed to balance flexibility, complexity, scalability, adaptability, and interoperability in a competitive environment with low-margin for error. It represents a breakthrough solution for on-line data security with protection from internal and external attack. The results of the program and its’ partnership with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and ILS Technologies provided Oceana Sensor with an end user software tool, middleware to support applications development and a FIPS 140-2 certified cryptographic library.
